Kasane Self-catering offers all the comforts of home, with two stylish, fully-equipped rooms set in a luxurious garden on the banks of the Chobe River. Kasane Self-catering is nestled on the banks of the river, in the town of Kasane in the Chobe District of Botswana.
We offer friendly, comfortable living away from home that will suit the needs of both business people and adventurous travellers alike. The air-conditioned rooms are fully equipped, allowing you to cater for yourself during your stay, and have Egyptian cotton sheets. Secure parking is provided and complimentary 24-hour Wi-Fi Internet access is also available.
Our garden is alive with an unbelievable variety of birdlife. Guests will be serenaded by Hueglins robins and amused by the comical trumpeter hornbills. The surrounding area of Chobe is one of the birding hotspots of Botswana, boasting more than 400 species including the rare African finfoot, Pel’s fishing owl and the half-collared kingfisher. On-site access to river frontage is available.
A stay at Kasane Self-catering will allow you to stretch your legs and take a break from the car. We are within easy walking distance of Kasane’s town centre, restaurants, supermarket, bank, petrol station, Internet cafe, bureau de change and taxi services.
Our property is ideally located for exploring the Chobe National Park and the Chobe River. For those wanting to venture further afield, it is only 80 km from Victoria Falls and Livingstone and 120 km from Katima Mulilo. Kasane is a crossroads of regional significance, making it an ideal base for your explorations. From here, you can easily drive to western Zimbabwe, southern Zambia and northern Namibia, and with a 4x4, you can drive through the Chobe National Park via Savuti and through the Moremi Game Reserve to Maun.
If you prefer destinations off the beaten track, your hosts Bronwen, Trish and Geoff, will be happy to share their local knowledge with you or organize guiding services if you wish. Having lived in the area for over 20 years, they offer personalized services to assist with bookings for activities in and around the Chobe National Park as well as further afield.
Whether you would like to experience game drives, boat cruises, birding and fishing trips or are just looking for suggestions and information, your hosts will gladly recommend the best facilities and services the region has to offer.
A 50% deposit secures the booking, however bookings must be paid in full if booked one week before occupation. |
